Mild Soap & Water Refresh: The safest way to clean everyday oil, lotion, and dust out from between jump rings is a simple hand wash. Use warm water and a few drops of mild, lotion-free dish soap (like original Blue Dawn). Gently work the soapy lather through the weave in your palms, rinse thoroughly with clean water, and pat completely dry with a soft towel.

Storage & Daily Protection: Store each piece individually in a small, airtight zip-top bag in a dry environment to block out ambient humidity. It is preferable to put your jewelry on after applying lotions, perfumes, and hairsprays, and remove it before swimming, showering, or working out.

Polishing Cloths & Dip Cleaners: A silver polishing cloth is ideal for routine surface maintenance. If you choose to use occasionally use a liquid silver dip cleaner to get into tight weave gaps, always follow the product instructions carefully. Dip the piece for only the specified time (usually just a few seconds), rinse thoroughly with clean, preferably warm, water to remove all chemical residue, and dry completely. Do not use dip cleaners frequently, as repeated chemical exposure can damage the metal over time.

Anti-Tarnish Storage: Keep an anti-tarnish strip inside your airtight storage bag with your silver pieces to absorb airborne sulfur compounds.

Brightening Bath (Pantry Method): If you prefer a high-shine finish, submerge the piece in a small cup of lemon juice (or white vinegar) mixed with a pinch of salt for 10–30 seconds. Once the bright color returns, remove it immediately, wash thoroughly with dish soap and warm water to fully neutralize the mild acid, and dry completely.

Liquid Jewelry Dips Caution: Raw copper reacts to chemical jewelry cleaners in usually undesirable ways—most commonly, it will develop a dark, splotchy, or rainbow sheen that alters the natural metal finish. If cleaning a piece that has both silver and copper, gentler dip cleaners may be alright to use, but be especially careful to read the directions and dry the jewelry as completely as possible immediately after cleaning.
